CPC GLOBAL CEAS MONTHLY WEATHER STATION DATA
This collection of global weather station data from 1979 to the present
is available as a dataset, including an
interactive data viewer and downloadable data files.
The NOAA Climate Prediction Center (CPC) has taken over from the Center for Environmental Assessment Services (CEAS) and now produces this collection of monthly summmaries of weather station data.
We also serve some of the daily weather station data used in this summary.
You might prefer to use GCPS MONTHLY STATION temperature and precipitation: the data is quality controlled and goes back as far as 1697. It stops, however, in 1995, and many stations stop before that.
