Accessing data using your copy of matlab

OPeNDAP allows one to give a application a url and have it directly download data. To read this data into matlab use 
loaddap('http://iridl.ldeo.columbia.edu/SOURCES/.USGS/.HCDN/ISTA/%2801010500%29VALUE/.District/dods')
