Accessing data using your copy of matlab

OPeNDAP allows one to give a application a url and have it directly download data. To read this data into matlab use 
loaddap('http://iridl.ldeo.columbia.edu/SOURCES/Indices/nino/KAPLAN/1+index/.EXTENDEDv3/2+index/.NCEP/NINO34/dods')
