Data:  Monthly ocean temperature on a 1.0 x 1.5 deg. lat/lon grid with vertical gridpoints at 5, 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85, 95, 105, 120. 135, 155, 175, 205, 240, 285, 340 and 430 m.  (Jan 1980-present)
Base Period: 1981-present
Data Source:  NCEP, Environmental Monitoring Center, Climate Modeling Branch

Description:   Longitude-depth plot of ocean temperature anomaly along the equatorial Pacific. Contours drawn at 0.5 deg. C intervals with shading starting at +/- 0.5 deg. C. Thick black line is the climatological position of the 0 deg. C anomaly.   NCEP is an acronym for the US National Centers for Environmental Prediction.
