Data:  Reynolds and Smith Version 2 monthly sea surface temperature anomaly (deg. C) on a 1.0 x 1.0 deg. lat/lon grid
Base Period for Climatology:  1971-2000
Data Source:  NCEP, Environmental Monitoring Center

Description:  Change in sea surface temperature anomaly from the previous month contoured at 0.5 deg. C intervals.  Shading starts at +/- 0.5 deg. C.
