Description:
Time-Pressure section of the spatial average of equatorial (5°S to 5°N) zonal winds from the NCEP-NCAR Reanalysis data set between 100 hPa and 10 hPa for the last ten years. Red indicates west winds, blue indicates east winds.

NCEP is an acronym for the U.S. National Centers for Environmental Prediction.
