Change in Monthly Surface Temperature Anomaly from Previous Month

This map displays the difference in CAMS monthly gridded surface temperature anomaly from the previous month.

Monthly changes in surface air temperature anomalies are shown in units of °C. Yellow to orange colors indicate an increase in the monthly temperature anomaly from the previous month, and shades of blue indicate a decrease of the anomaly from the previous month. Contours are drawn at intervals of +/- 1°C.

"CAMS" is an acronym for the "Climate Anomaly Monitoring System" in use at the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) at the U.S. National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP).
